Irish women advance to Sweet 16

Notre Dame’s women survived an overtime game Sunday night at Purcell Pavilion to advance to the Sweet 16, with an 88-82 win over Purdue.

Marina Mabrey led the way with  21 points, while Arike Ogunbowale contributed 18, as the Irish played the second half without leading scorer Brianna Turner.

Turner suffered a knee injury, and her status for games this week is unknown this morning.
